In 2009, FXHeli (Flight Xtreme Helicopters) became the largest specialist Radio
Control Helicopter store in Australia. With fantastic support from the community
and enough funding FXHeli was able to grow with the demand our customers placed
on us.
In late 2009, market demand drove us to open a new division named Speed Xtreme
Racing (SPXRacing). During this transition the Xtreme RC group was formed, with
the sole purpose of creating a platform that would allow the continued expansion
of the groups. SPXRacing was able to achieve great results and once again the
customers drove the expansion of the division.
In early 2010, the group opened it's next division focused on RC Aircraft.
FXPlanes (Flight Xtreme Planes) was formed. This is an ever growing division of
the group. It's important to understand that our plan has always been to create
seperate specialist division's, and not just one large hobby store. There are
many reasons for this such as being able to talk with consultants that know
their field in Radio Control. This division seperation will always remain,
however as a group our buying power is quite large.
Continuing on from FXPlanes is the newest division coming online in 2010. Xtreme
Toys and Hobbies. (XTHobbies). The focus of this division is to cater for the
hobby enthusiast's that is after more static or common hobby's such as Meccano,
Slot Cars, Radio Control Toys etc.
Xtreme RC Group has achieved over 400% growth since it's inception, and is
rapidly growing new market segments and listening to our customer's needs. New
product lines are always being reviewed, and easy ways to communicate with our
customers are being introduced.
The group has introduced a number of "Australian First's" for the hobby industry
such as a loyalty program that saves you money as you shop, as well as live chat
features to be able to talk directly with a consultant while you are shopping.
On top of this our integreated shipping network and product offerings never
available within Australia.
In 2010, expect to see this growth continue. Each division has a number of
strategic goals set to be achieved. This includes the introduction of enhanced
Information Systems and Online Services, including new tracking mechanisms and
real-time SMS features. On top of this we have recently announced the new
partnership with Velocity Rewards, to let our customers save money even further.
Our new retail division will begin to be rolled out this year, with Kiosk style
shop front's appearing around Australia. Not only will these serve as new
customer outlets, but a support and warranty network for existing customers.
In all it's been an exciting past twelve months, and 2010 is looking even
brighter. We appreciate our customer loyalty over the past twelve months, and
will continue to work hard to ensure we look after our existing and new
customers.
